Dr Dong Xuecheng received his PhD from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio USA. A Scientist with the Surface Technology Group at SIMTech, his research interests includes surface treatments for light metal corrosion protection (such as anodising, electroplating, conversion coating), surface micro-structuring, electrochemical characterisation, and thin-film characterisation.

Dr Gopal Krishnan received Doctoral degree from Physics Department/National University of Singapore (NUS) and currently works as Technical Advisor and consultant supporting Scientific Research and Industry Technology Development through advanced analytical technologies and road mapping. He has published a number of research papers with colleagues and students in electronic materials science, surface science area in international journals, conference proceedings, and had travelled widely for technical presentation through his work experience at NUS Physics Department, A*STAR, and professional associations. He is/was a member of Institute of Physics (Singapore), Singapore Surface Engineering Association (SSEA/www.aseansurfin.org), MRS, AVS, ASTM, NASF, International Institute of Forecasting (USA) and SICCI. He has founded the Symposium on Surface Engineering for Industrial Applications at Singapore in 2005 with SSEA and has been the conference General Chair/Joint-Chair at Singapore, Chennai/India and Russia. He is currently chairing the upcoming second technical symposium on Micro-Solder Joint Reliability in Aug 2017, co-organised by Physics/NUS/Singapore and CALCE/UMD/USA.. He has founded the company A-IATS/Singapore (www.a-iats.com) and Surface Technologies/Chennai/INDIA,(www.microsurftech.com) and play advisory role. He is also helping Megamart OE PTE Ltd (www.megamartoe.com) as Technical Director in optoelectronics project development. Dr Linda Wu Yonglin is a Senior Scientist and Team Lead/Manager in the Surface Technology Group of SIMTech. Her research fields cover chemical formulations, surface treatments and multi-functional coatings for different materials, nanoparticles syntheses and their surface modifications for biomedical applications, self-assembled nanostructures for surface energy control and optical applications, roll-to-roll coating technology for functional films, and materials characterisations. She holds a Bachelor degree and a Master degree in Materials Science from Tsing-Hua University, China, an MBA from University of South Australia, and PhD from Nanyang Technological University.

Dr Ranganathan Nagarajan received his Master of Technology degrees in Microelectronics from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (India) in 1984 and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2010. He is a Semiconductor/MEMS Industry veteran who has worked in Research and Development, Semiconductor/MEMS Manufacturing and Business Development in various capacities. His area of expertise is in CMOS, MEMS, 3DIC and Wafer Level Packaging Technologies. He is presently serving as Deputy Director of MEMS Process Integration in Globalfoundries, Singapore. He has contributed to over 80 International Conference and Journals. He has also contributed to over 30 Patents.
Mr Ashok Rajagopalan has MS in electrical engineering from University of Arizona, Tucson and MBA from Univerisity of California, Berkeley.
He is part of the marketing and sales at Vacuum Techniques Pvt. Ltd ( VTPL/ http://www.vtvacuum.com/ ). VTPL has innovated, manufactured and supplied advanced vacuum equipment to research, governmental institutions and industry since 1989.
Mr Christopher Mason is the Deputy Technical Director of the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). He is responsible for the technical and functional management of the Advanced Manufacturing Division.
Prior to his current role, Christopher has held a number of senior management roles for Rolls-Royce Plc. Including Manufacturing Manager of Rolls-Royce’s High Pressure Turbine Blade Machining Facility and Civil Large Engine Assembly and Test. He lead the operations team that assembled and tested the first Trent XWB production engines. He has held a number of engineering management roles in Asia, the United Kingdom and Europe for Rolls-Royce PLC and managed teams of up to 60 Engineers to design and implement new products and processes. Prior to his career at Rolls-Royce Christopher worked for Alcoa and programme managed new turbine blade manufacturing technology.
Christopher is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and received is BEng(Hons) from the University of Hertfordshire and has co-authored a number of technical publications.
